intro to slow sex

Someone once said, how you show up in bed is the way you show up in your life. What if you could make small changes to your sex life and have the results affect your life as a whole?

Slow Sex is intimacy at the speed of connection, and is comprised of three basic ingredients: simplicity, attention and desire. With Slow Sex, you learn how to use these three guiding principles in all areas of your life, ultimately improving how you communicate, increasing your capacity for sensation, and changing how you show up in the world for the better.

Slow Sex is about bringing mindfulness into every aspect of your daily life; about living a life that’s in alignment with what you really want, a life that’s connected to your body. And it starts with your sexuality as the doorway to creating sustainable changes and thriving your life.

During Intro to Slow Sex, through simple instruction, lively discussion and G-rated interaction you will drop into your body, challenge your mind, and live just a little farther outside your box than usual. In just two hours, learn how to gently push your edges in a beautiful, safe, judgment-free space.

*This workshop is based on my 10-month training as a Slow Sex coach through OneTaste, the leader of the Slow Sex movement, and on the teachings of their founder, Nicole Daedone, author of the book Slow Sex: The Art and Craft of the Female Orgasm.

awakening desire: your authentic compass

Desire gets a bad rap. It makes us do things our parents told us were wrong. It doesn’t like rules and it doesn’t abide by the laws of appropriateness.

And there is nothing else that is so real, so true, and so yours. Desire is your own personal treasure map. It is your guide to becoming the person you were meant to be. Desire is not an indulgence, an enemy, an obstacle. It is the only thing that can quench the deepest thirst within you.

Get back in touch with your desire. Learn to listen to the hungers that whisper subtly and the ones that roar. Pay attention to the magnetic field that draws you toward people. Toward places. Towards ways of being.

Take a deep dive and mine for desire. What do you want? What do you really, really want? We’ll leave the volume way up. And then through a unique 4-step process, you’ll map out and make a commitment to live the life you were intended for. Desires point you in the right direction. The only question is: will you follow?

sensational living: turning on to life

Make a commitment to live a turned-on life. A life where you are so full of energy that you can’t help but extend out to others. A life where you act not out of obligation, but out of desire. Where you are carried along by the power of your purpose, nourished by connection to those around you, and where you have set your compass toward freedom and awakening for yourself and others.

This evolution requires us to change the way that men and women relate to one another. It requires us to exchange the old production-based model for a new model based on desire. It requires us to accept and include every part of ourselves, starting with our sexuality and moving on from there.

What it does not require is for us to be “good.” It requires us to be real. It does not ask us to leave any parts of ourselves behind—our partners, our children, our spiritual traditions, our work. Whatever we desire can come along for the journey.

The turned-on world we are creating will be fluid, gentle, and compassionate; holistic, lively, fun, and exquisitely sensational. The feeling of this new world will be hydrated and complex and full. It will be rich and deep and delicious. It will take us to our edges, because it’s no fun to play anywhere else. It will allow us to explore everything life has to offer, taking us both up and down and back again. We will populate this world with turned-on women, served and supported by strong, powerful, courageous men. And we will get there through inclusion, fierce dedication, and a whole lot of humor.

You cannot awaken to a turned-on life alone. Awakening happens together. So in truth you’re not just invited; your presence is desired.

intro to orgasmic meditation

What is Orgasmic Meditation (OM)? Everyone asks this question. In short, it is a simple way for people to practice their orgasm. It’s like…yoga for your orgasm – the more you do this practice, the more you feel, the more you sense in your body.

OM is a 15-minute practice done between two people that has no goal except to feel what is happening in the moment. OM is not about more climax. It is about expanding the sweet spot of the most pleasurable part of orgasm.

Practitioners of OM have reported the following benefits:

  • Increased libido. You’ll want sex more.
  • Increased sexual satisfaction.
  • Increased ability to feel and know desire.
  • Increased energy.
  • Elongated sexual pleasure during intercourse.
  • Increased confidence with your body + in the bedroom.
  • Gain skills of concentration + attention.
  • Addresses chronic dissatisfaction.
  • Reduces stress + irritability.
  • Increases intimacy with your partner. You will communicate better, feel more connected, and be able to feel more of your partner and their desires.

OM is the yoga for your orgasm. It is the way for you to practice your orgasm and reap the benefits of having a deeper orgasm in your body.

“The 15-minute orgasm [OM] should be required education for every man on the planet…”
~Tim Ferriss, The 4-Hour Body

Sounds good, right? But the benefits of OM go way beyond sex and relationships. Because when you learn how to be intimate with your partner, you learn how to be intimate with your world.

Important note: You’ll be introduced to OM through discussion and a short video presentation where sexually explicit content is replaced with graphic representation. There is no nudity or sexual contact during this presentation.

unstuckify me: developing a 3-fold practice to stay in flow

Yoga. Meditation. Orgasm.

Unstuckify in 15 minutes a day. Release the gunk and restore yourself to a state of blissful flow. It starts with defining where you find nourishment + pleasure and then identifying three pivotal, daily rituals to keep your channels crystal clear. Restoring flow revolves around an understanding of how to:

  • flood your body with sensation
  • metabolize energy through mindful movement
  • reveal seeming blind spots and generate “aha’s” in your unique life experience

Learn how to generate energy, not dissipate it. Through an innovative assessment, discussion and personalized practice tips, you’ll learn that you can up the ante – and super-size your energy + turn on – to play a much bigger game by expanding who you are and how you show up.

Personally. Professionally. Sexually.

global healing from your backyard: cultivating radical empathy + active compassion

It is impossible to imagine how we might create a sustainable global economy and restore the biosphere to health if each and every one of us is, at the core of our biology, an autonomous agent and a self-centered and materialistic being.
~Jeremy Rifkin, The Empathic Civilization: Rethinking Human Nature in the Biosphere Era

You can. Empowerment starts with those two words. By getting outside of yourself and being in service to your fellow man – or woman. Or child. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Right here. Right now.

We could easily take a worldview and talk about some very serious + dire human needs: access to potable water, basic literacy, ending human trafficking, and saving the lives of the world’s most vulnerable women + children. And I have deep gratitude for the people and NGO’s that work together tirelessly to obliterate these horrendous conditions + unnecessary suffering.

And I’m asking you to look a lot closer to home. In your own backyard. In the next cube over. We all share something in common: the human struggle. You can impact the quality of that condition in every day ordinary ways.

Attention is the most basic form of love. Through it we bless and are blessed.
~John Tarrant

Open your heart. Develop radical empathy. Listen + feel on a deep level with people you come in contact with in your daily experience. Activate compassion. Give more than a willing ear. Ask: “How can I support you?” Then be ready + willing to roll up your sleeves.

Do ordinary things with extraordinary Love.
~Mother Teresa
